English Immersion in England, summer 2026
How did we get the idea to offer English immersions in Yorkshire?
It all started when Paul and I were on our summer holidays in England in summer 2024. We used to run immersions in Madrid in July (we still do) and travel to the United Kingdom to escape the heat of Madrid in August.
On one of the last days of the trip, we were travelling by train through the beautiful Yorkshire countryside and feeling nostalgic, wishing we could stay longer.
Suddenly we thought… “Wouldn´t it be great to spend more time here in summer? What if we could organise an English immersion right here in Yorkshire?”
That´s how it started. We realised we could create something really special, combining our extensive experience as teachers and English immersion hosts with our contacts in the local area of Yorkshire to offer a truly unique and fruitful experience.
Why did we choose Yorkshire?
We chose Yorkshire because both Paul and I were born and raised there. We know the best places to visit (not always the most famous ones), the best local dishes in typical Yorkshire pubs and how to travel around on public transport.
Apart from the practical side, there is something even more valuable: our friends and family live there. This gives us the perfect bridge between our students and the local community. This experience is about not only learning English, but also about feeling part of daily life in Britain.
Many of our students over the years have complained that they had done English immersion courses in Britain, but they had not had the chance to speak much English outside of a traditional classroom. Sometimes due to shyness, or due to being in a big group, or simply becuase the program didn´t provide them with the opportunity to meet local people: just classes, bus tours and maybe dinner with a host family at the most.
Our experience is very different
If you come with us this summer, we offer a very unique experience. We tell our students to think of us as British friends who you are visiting in summer. We are a small group of friends from different places, sharing a holiday together.
Every day with give you opportunities to participate in activities with people from the local area where we are staying in Yorkshire. This allows you to integrate into the community and practice English in real situations. In a fitness class, having a chat in a local pub, going for a walk together or visiting local friends in their homes for a cup of tea. Forget classes in a classroom (that could be any language school in Madrid or Paris…) we live English here, we use it, we don’t just study it.

This year we have reserved a lovely holiday house in a different part of Yorkshire, as our family enjoy exploring different areas (and some of our students from last year are coming back again so we want to show them a new area!).
How did we choose the house?
We always look for a house which is comfortable, clean and has rooms with 2 single beds (not always easy to find!), as many people choose to travel alone.
This year we have found a great house with the perfect beds and bathrooms for everyone.
Of course the house isn’t the only important thing. We also take time choosing an area with lots of local community activities and opportunities to practice English in a relaxed and friendly way.
This year we will be in Rodley, a lovely town between Leeds and Bradford, with a really welcoming local community.
In our summer immersion experiences (we call them courses just so that our students can find us, but really, they are much more than a course) we have the chance to take our usual English immersion courses a step further.
The Perfect Mix
We mix practical sessions in the house (specially designed roleplays and workshops focused on the specific needs of each group run by Paul and I – our daughter and my father also joined in last year!) with daily contact with other people. We aim to give you the confidence to communicate in English in a range of situations, to give you the chance to practice the English you have probably been studying for years but are nervous about using!
We have alreay been in contact with people in Rodley, and we have all been invited to many activities, clubs and events and even for dinner with local families in the neighbourhood.

Spots are limited to keep the close, personalized atmosphere that defines our courses, so if you’d like to take part, we recommend reserving your place as soon as possible.
All activities are chosen based on the group’s interests, as the programme is completely tailor-made — every experience is unique, so let us know your interests in advance and we can look for something special for you!
We’ve also already reserved a table in a pub where you can try the classic roast beef with all the traditional sides… including the famously delicious Yorkshire pudding!
Who is this English immersion course for?
This course is designed for people from a lower intermediate to advanced level of English who want to go beyond traditional classes and start experiencing the language in real-life situations.
If you’ve ever thought something like:
“I understand quite a lot of English, but I struggle to speak confidently,”

“I need to practise with native speakers and speakers from other countries, but without feeling under pressure,”
then this course is for you.
This immersion is perfect for you if:
- You want to improve your fluency and gain confidence when expressing yourself.
- You’re interested in experiencing everyday life in England, not as a tourist, but as part of the community.
- You’re looking for a different kind of experience — practical, enjoyable, and genuinely human.
- You’re curious about cultural exchange: improving your English while also sharing the best of your own culture with others.
It isn’t an academic course or an intensive summer camp. It’s a real experience, where you learn by doing: chatting in a pub, joining in a yoga class, a family meal, or exchanging anecdotes while walking through the countryside (in fact, one of my favourite memories from last summer’s immersion course was the last night, walking with Patricia, Oscar and Maria along country lanes as the sun went down, talking about life.)
Your age isn’t important, the only thing that matters is that you want to learn, share and enjoy the experience.

What is the price?
For bookings between the 19th and 31st May, the price is 1200€ per person in a 90cm bed in a shared room with one other person (of the same gender if they don’t book together) and 1500€ for a single bed in a private room (only one room available per week). WE OFFER A DISCOUNT, IF 2 PEOPLE RESERVE TOGETHER = 1000€ PER PERSON (ask us about further discount for bigger group bookings, families etc)
What is included in the price?
1 week of accommodation, meals in house, guided activities, participation in local events, and most importantly a full language immersion from breakfast to dinner time with our continous support, corrections and explanations. We will send you all the information about the payment options when you book.
