Here are a few pictures of our activities from September to December 2021! We celebrated Halloween and Christmas and tried to spend as much time as possible in the garden in the fresh air. As you can see our own kids, Mia (the baby) and Max (10 years old) also joined in with some of our classes.

As you can see our kitchen got really scary in October this year! We made pumpkins, ghosts, zombies, bats, cats and witches… my favourite was making the mummies.

We try to make our kids’ English classes as active as we can. Here we flew on a plane in the garden, we made miniature gardens and painted our favourite things. We also did lots of treasure hunts and practiced the past tense using our imagination to write stories.

We all had a great time! 5 weeks playing games, making friends, baking treats and doing sport while using English. Here are a few photos!

Actividades en el aire libre, en casa, en el jardín… haremos excursiones, iremos a la piscina, haremos retos, juegos, deporte, manualidades, cocina ¡y mucha conversación!

Va a ser nuestro cuarto año de campamento de verano. Nuestra familia esta deseando reencontrarnos con muchos amigos/summer campers de los años anteriores y conocer a nuevos amigos también.

9 am – 9.30 am – English game + speaking activity

9.30 am – 11.00 am – Physical activities in English – football, basketball, tennis, cycling, scooters, volleyball, Olympics, countryside walk

11.00 am – 12.00 noon – English challenge in pairs or groups

12.00 noon – 1.00 pm – Swimming pool + English games

1.00 pm – 2.00 pm – English creative project

2.00 pm – 3.00 pm – Lunch

Having fun learning about different jobs, toys, animals, family and food! We always try to use real objects and experiences to let our students learn through play and art. If our students want to come to class and they enjoy themselves, they will be more relaxed and open to learning. We love to use our garden and the area around us whenever the weather is good.

Halloween was extremely scary this year! We danced to Thriller, made some bat´s blood jelly, had a competition to dress a “mummy” and made some fantastic spiders and terrifying surprise boxes for our parents!

I’ve been working in education and examining for 15 years. I’m from the UK and have also worked and lived in China and Spain.

I have learnt a great deal from listening to and working with educators from a wide range of countries and realise the importance of education for happiness, for balance and for success.

This has taken me on a journey to building our inspired centre of learning to help build a more inspired future for all of our students.
